Expectations for Educational Scholarship
- COMCEC grants are expected to generate peer-reviewed, educational scholarship by investigators. Educational scholarship can take the form of an abstract or poster submitted to a regional or national meeting, a presentation at a regional or national meeting, or a manuscript submitted to a medical education or specialty journal. Please remember to acknowledge the support of COMCEC.
- COMCEC grants can also be used to collect pilot data for inclusion in proposals for external funding.
- Results of curriculum development projects should be submitted to either MedEd Portal or a discipline-specific site for dissemination of curricular innovations.
- A final written research report, preferably in the form of a manuscript, is required within two years of the date of the notification of the grant award.
