Grants are awarded to fund educational research efforts and can provide up to $5,000 per project.  In rare cases, where expenditures can be justified, we will consider funding grants to a maximum of $10,000. The program provides resources to encourage faculty to undertake theory-based, methodologically sound educational research. The program’s long-range goal is to increase scholarly activity in medical education at University of Florida. Research across the medical education continuum, including medical student, resident, and faculty-level populations is eligible for consideration. Curriculum development projects will be considered if rigorous evaluation methods are included.

A University of Florida College of Medicine faculty member must be named as the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator of the proposed project. Continued support of a previously funded project may be requested. However, assuming equivalent ratings by the review committee, first time applicants will be given priority for funding.
